First Aid CPR/AED 

 
CPR AED is a course that teaches students CPR AED 2 hours (3 with child and infant) Non-Medical CPR AED
As well as how to relieve choking on an adult. This course also teaches optional sections in child CPR & AED use and infant CPR, including child and infant choking.

Who Needs This: This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. Teachers, Fitness Trainers, Lay People and Students.

Class Certification: CPR AED Course Certification Card is valid for two years. Your Card is issued immediately following successful course completion.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
  • Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival
  • Recognize when someone needs CPR
  • Perform high-quality CPR for an adult
  • Describe how to perform CPR with help from others
  • Give effective breaths by using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
  • Demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult
  • Perform high-quality CPR for a child*
  • Demonstrate how to use an AED on a child*
  • Perform high-quality CPR for an infant*
  • Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child
  • Demonstrate how to help a choking infant*

First Aid 2.5-3 hours
This is an instructor led course that teaches students critical skills to react, respond and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives. Student learn First Aid basics, injury emergencies, medical emergencies & environmental emergencies.

Who Needs This: Anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet employment requirements.

Certification: First Aid Course Certification is valid for two years. Cards are issued immediately after completing class.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • List the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of the first aid rescuer
  • Describe the key steps in first aid
  • Remove protective gloves
  • Find the problem
  • Describe the assessment and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions: heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke
  • Use an epinephrine pen
  • Control bleeding and bandaging
  • Recognize elements of common injuries
  • Recognize elements of common illnesses
  • Describe how to find information on preventing illness and injury
  • Recognize the legal questions that apply to first aid rescuers

Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED 4 hours

Same as above, except includes infants and children. This course was designed for daycare and preschools. This class meets state standards including all of the above areas with the following:

All the above classes can be done online also. First Aid, CPR AED, First Aid CPR AED (combo) or Pediatric FA CPR AED.

Contact us and we will email you the link for the class.  Once completed we offer part 2 hands on skills sessions for all online classes, 1-2 times each week. There are 2-3 hour time slots on those days. You will receive your certificate the same day.
